Artist_ROH HYEUN WOO As a nomad, the artist researches the absolute territorializing of the landscape painting through the idle stares and the resonances regarding nature. He wrote “The sky is the face of the spirit” in the artist’s notes. Although he sinks into the breaths of the distant blue sky and blank space of time, the sceneries inside the artists, who interprets the low forests on the land, cloud and mists below the mountains with the facial expressions of the mind and business cards of the soul, which have been keeping the loneliness and the homesickness of the being (trveler) filled with melancholy.On the fields where sky-blue color of the diverse emotions and treses and forests, which create sceneries of order and harmony by just growing there, the small lakes that reflect the sky-blue color and soft silence of the river water leading our gazes toward the horizon. At the limit point (vanishing point) of the phenomenon seen over trees standing on fields and over the distant mountains, the subtle horizon connects to the sky and has been foreshadowing the idea of hidden existence. In another works on sceneries of Russia, the lyricism of the lonely sceneries of which the pictorial sensibilities of the artist are sympathized with the still private homogeneity matured and has been corresponding. With the color of the composed and calm middle chroma, they have the visual appeals. The sceneries with the memory met within the cast expense of land of Russia, have been recreated as works because of the fresh stimulations acquired on the journey of youth, the disposition of aesthetics, emotional moves and molding desire of nomadic challenges. Because not only the solid draughtsmanship learned while finishing the program of Western painting at the Russian Academy of Arts which lasted 6 years is possessed but also, the elaborate organizing ability and basic skills that can create delicate densities are possessed for the level of completion of high density. The personality is different from hyper realism, and, instead of being obsessed with the materialistic properties of objects or microscopic ability to penetrate through proximity description, with the sweeping landscapes that come into the wide view, the moisture of longing permeates into the land of the mind and within the bantering color of the sky. the narrative of the happy penance like the carrying out of self-overcoming is portrayed.
